It originated from the cooperative of eight grocers, and from the beginning it was and has always been of Greek interests. The company’s turnover is derived from two main categories of stores: retail sales through My market and wholesale sales through METRO Cash & Carry.

In 2021, a new effort to develop a nationwide network of convenience stores under the name MY MARKET Local will be launched.
